Three midnight black civics with green Street Glow neon lights under the chassis is the first hint of what the new movie The Fast and The Furious has in store. If you are an import owner or just a fan of the sport compact scene, then you will love this movie. It brings an intense level of excitement and enthusiam into import owner just begging them to follow in the movie's footsteps.
Paul Walker is seen driving an all wheel drive eclipse with an independent fuel computer system, dual stage nitrous, upgraded turbo and a whole bag of other goodies. Vin Diesel drives a 3rd generation Rx7 with a nitrous setup under the seat! Sure, some of these setups are way to crazy for the street and the paint jobs would be wild for even the show circuit, but Hollywood decided to go all out and really make the import scene look good.
Yes, it has its technical flaws, but if you look past those you will see one of the best car movies released, especially for the import scene. An example of these technical problems is "Tran" (the bad guy) saying that he wants a SR20DET for the civic he has sitting there. Other than these few technicalities, the movie is great. Craig Lieberman (IDRC Fame, owner of the supra and blue maxima) did a very nice job of technical advising. There are many places where they could have messed up and he made sure that they didn’t. There are also a few cameos you should look out for while watching the movie such as Craig Lieberman, RJ of Super Street and Ja Rule (who is all over the soundtrack). Overall, this is a great movie and if you love cars, then this movie is definately for you. Hell, even if you don’t, you should see the movie, it's definately worth it.
The Fast and the Furious opens June 22 in theaters everywhere.
