It seems the common saying now is JDM. So many people try to sport the JDM look or the JDM style, whatever that really means. But most people don't realize the CRXs were originally made in Japan and shipped over to the United States. This would make the whole car JDM in stock form. But that wasn't enough for Brandon. Instead, he ripped out the stock 108 hp Si motor and replaced it with a 160 hp b16a from Japan using Place Racing mounts and mated it with a j1 transmission. To help the motor breathe better, he swapped in a better flowing intake, JDM ITR header, a Carsound cat, custom 2 1/2 piping and an Apexi N1 muffler. Also giving the motor an extra kick is a pair of Integra Type R camshafts and AEM adjustable cam gears. Finally, getting rid of the horrible 110 mph governor was taken care of by a Zdyne ECU. Inside the car appears almost stock with its mint condition original interior and stock Recaro seats. The only enhancements you can see are the Grex shift knob and the Neuspeed short shifter. Keeping the car glued to the road and being the only visible exterior modifcations are the H&R 2" drop springs inside the stock CRX Si rims painted white wrapped in Falken Azenis rubber. Coming up in the near future is a zex nitrous kit and a VAFC to tune the car for optimal performance.
