It seems that the import scene is saturated with far too many people with bad taste. The kind of people who accessorize the hell out of their rides to the point where you either point and laugh, or cringe. Thankfully you see the occasional civic driving around town that reminds you there are still civic owners with good taste. One of those civics is mattymob's black 1994 civic EX. The car's menacing all-black Darth Vaderesque appearance is accentuated by an aggressive looking Mugen style front lip and JDM style black crystal headlamps with equally black corners. Also black are a set of 16" Rota Slipstreams wrapped in Yokohama Parada Spec 2 tires, increasing performance and handling. The EG's chassis is lowered about 2" courtesy of Eibach Sportline springs. Wrapping up the exterior features, mattymob's civic now proudly wears 99-00 style red and clear taillights giving the car a super clean look. On the performance side of the car mattymob has kept things simple, for now. Helping the engine breathe with ease is an AEM Cold Air System, installed in place of the restrictive stock airbox to minimalize air intake temperatures. The tried and true GReddy Evolution catback exhaust system frees up lost power and provides a deep sporty note. For the future, mattymob is looking to swap in a B-series motor and maybe a GReddy turbo kit further down the road. Whether or not that happens one thing can always be certain with mattymob's civic: It will always look clean.
